Your pre-selection kit to enter a design course at university?
I have to create a kit of 8-10 examples of my work to get a possible interview with the university which will hopefully lead to a place in their graphic design course.
Would anyone be willing to show me examples of their work that they used for their pre-selection kit, as I'm unsure of the standard that they are expecting

Hiya. I don't have anything proper to show you on the kit since my online portfolio is under construction.
However, I can only give you some verbal tips. Its good to show them the variety of your work from photography, typography, illustration (digital/analogue) to desktop publishing. Or if you have any animation/media or webstuff, that would be useful. Remember to show them ONLY your best work, so if you have any failed attempt, just whisk it away!
Also, if you have other volunteer or organisation that you've involved in whether its team or individual effort, please list it in a resume/CV. Its good to have it all printed in hardcopy, that means your portfolio too.
A very good attempt to show your willingness is to create a book kit along with your printed portfolio with a cd slot inside. Make the book it as creative and neat as possible cos its going to reflect you and your talent/experience all in a package!
Last but not least is CONFIDENCE! If your portfolio can't do the talking, let yourself and your words take over!
