Getting a taste of printing and personalization

Stop for just a moment and take a look around you.  Notice all the items that have some form of personalization attached to them.  What I'm talking about are printed things.  It might not be YOUR name that got the personalization treatment.  But many companies and brands are using printing and personalization.  And this personalization is being used more in mass to help establish and solidify the brand along with your attachment to that brand.

All sorts of materials for printing and personalization

Printing and personalization is not just limited to paper goods any longer.  Here are some of the things that immediately come to mind with some sort of printing and personalization as I write this post:

  • Cushion
  • Notepad
  • Calendar
  • T-shirt
  • Sweatshirt
  • Watch
  • Bottled Water
  • Coaster (for putting drinks on)
  • Napkin
  • Luggage Tags
  • Beverage Glasses
  • Photograph Frame

I mean the list is almost endless to where this whole printing and personalization and customization thing is going.  Not so long ago, it was very expensive to personalize things.  Stationary was customized, but it was done via engraving and that can be pricey by most standards.  Personalization then was usually left to the elite, wealthy class.  But not anymore.

Individuals can personalize a variety of things at a reasonable price.  Companies do the same.  They put their personalized logo and name on just about everything they do.  People love seeing their name.  It's a ego thing and generally there's nothing wrong with it.  For a business, it's a necessity!  Name identification and brand identification is critical to stay in business...now as much as ever before.

So, what are some of the things you've got that have some form of personalization identifying them?  Perhaps your car?  Did you know there are people that are having their windows personalized -- permanently etched or temporarily taped?  Leather goods like purses or belts are another item popular for personalization.  Some people get real crazy with it, too.  I saw a man with his name trimmed by his stylist into his haircut on the back of his head.  Fingernails are able to be personalized.  I'm telling you, some people are taking this in all sorts of places LOL!

Obviously, printing and personalization are here to stay.  I thought I'd give you a laugh and share in the video below how one group even did the personalization thing on pancakes.  Yes, you read this correctly.  Pancakes.  See, you can personalize just about anything! :-)
